Description
The water lilies for their extraordinary beauty have always been the flowers par excellence as an object of inspiration for artists and cultures from all over the world and of all times, starting from the Egyptians in antiquity who used it in funeral ceremonies for Osiris as funeral flower symbol of resurrection and eternal youth. These flowers of almost divine beauty occupy space also in western art and we can very well remember Monet in particular who painted them in three paintings: "White water lilies" of 1899, "The pond of water lilies" in 1908 and "Water lilies" in 1916 .
