Roar is a digital art image that explore the power of the inner scream. It's about strength to exist and breaking the suffering, which is often hidden deep within us. The inspiration for this work came from a dream I had where I was standing in front of a mirror and saw myself screaming at myself with such force that it echoed throughout my entire body. This experience led me to question what was going on inside me that caused me so much pain, anger or frustration? What was this feeling trying to tell me?
The overall visual of “Roar” is abstract. I was playing with the idea of breaking glass, which can be associated with anger or sadness. I had also used tiled print textures in this piece to give it an interesting look - it's not just a flat illustration!
