Story n. 2
… Hera was once a normal human until an accident left her with a prosthetic arm. This prosthesis was so sophisticated that it gave her superhuman strength and agility. But as time passed and technology advanced, Hera began to replace more and more of her body with cybernetic implants.
Hera's determination was unwavering. She knew that her cybernetic enhancements made her stronger and more capable than the average human. Her mechanical arm, after all, was capable of lifting heavy objects.
One day, Hera received a call from a group of scientists who had been following her progress for some time. They told her that they wanted her to be the first human to test their latest invention: a cybernetic eye that could enhance her vision even further.
Hera immediately agreed, and soon the scientists began installing the new eye. The procedure was not painful, but it took several hours. When it was done, Hera opened her new eye and was amazed at what she saw.
The world around her was crystal clear, and she could see details she had never noticed before. Her cybernetic eye could also scan objects, analyze their movements, and detect hidden objects. It was like having a superpower.
But the euphoria was short-lived, for Hera soon noticed something even more disturbing.
Hera woke up in a good mood, but when she went to the bathroom and looked in the mirror, all she could manage was a bitter, almost depressed smile. She was afraid. She did not know what would happen to her in the future. Her cybernetic eye did not seem to work well and made her see things a bit distorted. At the same time, she liked the idea of being one of the first to benefit from this new technology.
