Description
"Before the storm" is a digital mixed media artwork. The seascape is figured in an intriguing composition, with a striking contrast between the ominous clouds and the deep, dark ocean. The sailboat in the foreground adds a sense of movement, drawing the viewer in and inviting them to imagine where the boat might be headed. The birds added to the composition contribute to the beauty of the sunset and stormy scene.
The work tries to be a realistic representation of the ocean in all its glory, and the perfect blend of colors offers a sense of irresolution. The way I have tried to capture the light in the water, with the reflection of the sun through the clouds with a warm golden hue, gives the work an overall effect of beauty and makes it ideal as a tableau for all those in admiration of our wonderful nature.
